Inveraray area

Auchindrain Township open air museum near Furnace, Inveraray Castle grounds, including a walk up to Dun na Cuaiche. A meal at The George or Samphire both come highly recommended or you could visit the Oyster Bar or Fyne Ales at the head of Loch Fyne.

Heading west

Kilmartin Glen, Carnasserie Castle, Dunadd Fort, and the Crinan Canal. The cafe at Kilmartin Museum and the Crinan Hotel are both good options for eating out

All at sea

Boat trip out to the Corryvreckan with Venture West, or a day trip to Jura with the Jura Passenger Ferry. Perhaps eating out at the Tayvallich Inn at the end of the day.

Kintyre day trip

A day to visit the beach at Westport Beach on Kintyre and the Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown. The Seafood Cabin at Skipness or Starfish in Tarbert are both good places to sample local seafood. Alternatively you could take the service bus down to Campbeltown for a warehouse tasting at Springbank.
